Invitation - Northern Agroforestry Field Day
Wednesday 22nd August - 'Formosa Estate', 1903 Cressy Road, Cressy.
Trees can shelter paddocks for up to 20 tree heights, reducing evaporation, limiting low temperatures and increasing air humidity which increases crop growth. Well planted shelterbelts are shown to increase Tasmanian pasture yield by 15% in the spring and autumn.
Join us and see results for yourself, speak to farmers and people with expertise in planting trees on farms.
9:30am to 2:30pm - Refreshments and light lunch provided - please provide own lunch if you have special dietary requirements.
Wet weather clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended.
A harvesting operation will be in progress on the day for you to view.
RSVP is essential for catering purposes by Wednesday 15th August to Tracey on 6477 7389 or firstname.lastname@example.org
