2019 Tasmanian Export Awards
The 2019 Tasmanian Export Awards program is now open and are acknowledged as one of the state's prestigious industry awards. They recognise excellence in the export of goods and services by Tasmanian enterprises and acknowledge the important contribution made to the local economy.
The Awards are a great opportunity to:
- promote your business and its achievements
- leverage the recognition and reward opportunities associated with the program
- make useful business connections through interactions with other businesses and Awards sponsors
This year the event will be held in Launceston and comprise a networking activity for finalists and sponsors, the Awards ceremony and an evening cocktail function to be attended by business and industry leaders. Category winners at the state level progress to the national awards, where there are yet further opportunities for engagement with other leading exporters, export facilitators, key government officials, media and additional sponsors who support Australian exporters.
In addition to 13 national categories, there are 2 Tasmania-only categories this year (refer summary attached). Women in Export is again on offer in 2019. A Young Exporter Award has been introduced this year, aiming to recognise the contribution of younger people (up to 30 years of age) working in an export-related role and to inspire more young people to build a career in this area. You can nominate staff for either/both of these awards via the completion of just one extra question (two, if you nominate staff in both categories) over and above your national category application. This is a great avenue to generate recognition for staff contribution to your business.
Visit the application portal at 2019 Tasmanian Export Awards for eligibility criteria, FAQs, tips for building an application, to obtain the application questions and to access the actual online application form. We encourage you to take a close look at this Awards program and start building your application. The deadline for applications is 9 August.
